"I have done so many sessions on Customer Service with so called "experts" but you did a great job and this was a really good class.

"I was impressed by the style and detail of your wedding, especially knowing that you did it all yourself...I think the fact that you went through it yourself is a good selling point."

This year marked the 4th consecutive year that this session was facilitated by Mrs. Forde-Harrigan, whose expertise and engaging delivery have made it one of the most anticipated and well-received sessions among our interns.
Each year, the feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive, and this year was no exception. Interns expressed that the session not only provided valuable insights but also opened their eyes to the importance of financial planning and goal setting at an early stage in their careers. Mrs. Forde-Harrigan has a unique ability to make complex financial concepts relatable and accessible, empowering our young professionals to take control of their financial futures.
This session stands out as one of the most impactful because financial literacy is a foundational life skill that many young adults are not formally taught. By learning how to budget, save, invest, and set financial goals, interns gain tools that will benefit them long beyond the internship. It promotes independence, encourages responsible decision-making, and helps reduce future financial stress; skills that contribute to both personal and professional success.
We are especially grateful to Mrs. Forde-Harrigan for her continued dedication and willingness to contribute her time and expertise to the personal and professional growth of our future professionals. Her consistent involvement over the past four years has added tremendous value to the Summer Internship Program, and her passion for empowering young people is evident in the lasting impact she leaves on each cohort.
APUA is proud to partner with such a capable and committed professional whose contributions continue to elevate the overall quality and purpose of our internship experience.
